Wholesale-dress pt2

I bought shoes from wholesale-dress.net this time. ^_^

I usually wear a size US 6.5 shoe to a 7, so I went up and bought a china size 39 (which is their size 7).
The boots are knee length and look like the picture, but the shoe lace is very small for the boot, so the shoes are comfortable to put on and wear, but HARD to take off unless you unlace them or have Mamma Mia style help (wear friends pull the shoes off, while you hold onto something >//<). Though it was a hassle to take off, I STILL love them. :D
Website image of the boots, click image for shopping link.

OH, and from my last purchase from wholesale dress, the white outer top has a huge hole because one sleeve wasn't fully attached to the collar properly. Since I can sew I'll fix it myself, but this is just to remind folks as a buyer beware thing.

Etsy Shop

I finally did it, I put up items for my Etsy store! >.<
I really am hoping I can sell more items but for now as a test run I'm only putting up 2 items: 1 friendship bracelet, and 1 pencil pouch. Both are pretty simple items, but simple works for me when I'm trying something new. If those sell, I'll but up more items. ^_^

AH! I'm also selling prints on my deviant art account!

Wholesale-dress Review

To be honest, I was at first very disappointed in there service before. I tried ordering a pair of boots and only after I paid for it, did they notify me that it was out of stock and my money became store credit, $45 in all its glory.
Only recently did those same boots go on sale again, so I tried to reorder, but the same thing happened, but with a twist... $5 more for shipping, and they never e-mailed me to confirm payment, or that it was out of stock. I had to go to customer service to ask, and  then they spilled the beans and once again turned my money into store credit.

After that I made sure to ask them at least 3 times if an item is in stock to sale. Luckily, it worked, I got my order with 4-5 days after I paid for it, and the items look well off to with some minor differences/problems. Shipping was expensive though.

These are the two items I recently bought on wholesale-dress.wholesale Lace Zipper Decorate Double Purpose Bag Pink
wholesale Stylish Hooked Flowers Long Sleeves Two Pieces Blouse White
This is how they really look:
The purse as you can see isn't pink but a beige tan, and when I tried on the dress, the slip was tight around my hips at the hem, and not stretchy at all, the top had loose thread too, but looks really cute so no complaints there. All in all, I'm a 80% satisfied shopper after this recent purchase, but they could do MUCH better.

I got COPICS!

I got my copic skin set in the mail this week! I'm so happy! **spins in happiness**
This is the first drawing I colored. I was a tad skittish when I used them because the ink came out water clear! It was only until the ink dried that the color showed up, so the coloring looks kinda messy.
After the mistakes I learned from the previous use of my copics, I decided I need a color guide. So I took a scrap piece of paper and labeled the colors and left them in the case. So when I wanted to color a drawing from today it came out better.
Now I just wish I had more copics to color with! T^T

Sketchs

Its been awhile since I drew in my sketch book since school, so recently I decided to give it a little love. :D

Also, I've been trying to practice on several digital art tools, GIMP, SAI, and I'm still trying to install Photoshop, but my laptop keeps chewing up the disk. T^T I'm taking a digital art class this Fall semester. I also decided to go to a different University and do a double major. So since this is my last year at community college, I need a ton of advising for the admission process.

Here is the bunny I made, I need to paint the eyes, I drew them in so I would know where to paint. I might sell this when I'm done, don't know yet. Isn't it cute? <3

I'm 20!

Today is my 20th birthday! A boy what a week it has been!
I suffered through the stomach flu last week (its been going around my college) since Tuesday 'til Friday and still have minor cramps and headaches today, it was a hard week and the last moments of my teen life went like that. Though I am grateful for the sickness because it DID give me forced time to relax at home in bed, which I had been lacking due to stress from my personal life. So I learned at the last moments before my birthday, always look on the bright side!!

As for how today went, I still had minor aches and pains but it wasn't as bad as it could have been, thank you God! I had a wonderful day today. My friends gave me birthday wishes, but it was disappointing to find out who will not be attending my party this weekend. :( Also, I got to receive another birthday dinner thanks to my mother (I <3 MOM!), even though we went Friday because I was sort of feeling better and I have a Bio test tomorrow (wish me luck). I wanted to go to Jack and the Box....I know I'm lame but I like simplicity at best. Get me my fav. sandwich and I'm a happy camper. :D My mother also told me when I got home how many post I received on my facebook, it was more than I usually get which is no more then 10-20. Today I got around 50 comments for just birthday wishes! And enough text wishes that I had to clear my cell's memory. WOW. Also, I got a happy birthday call from my cousin. >///< He was the first and ONLY to sing the Happy B-day song to me, he is so sweet, though he teased me that I'm that closer to 40 now.... (I'll get him back later for that.... >:D) I got CARROT CAKE! My #1 favorite. It was yummy. ^__^

Tiger's Curse Review

I just got done reading the Tiger's Curse by Colleen Houck. I have to say that I loved the story! I have listed it as one of my current favorites next to Hunter's Game. It has adventure, romance, fantasy, and an alluring tale that captures the reader in just the first paragraph that gives the introduction to the curse. Though the progress for the romance between Kelsey and Ren was a little daunting, I understood the situation the author had put them both in, and understood why Kelsey tried to tear herself away from the one she loved. (However, I would have steeled Ren all to myself! Personally, the author described the exact type of guy I would go for in Ren in appearance and personality. :D)

There is some amount of text that is in Hindi and I would suggest a translator as most of those text are not explained in the book, if you really want to find out what those mean, but they are really unimportant compared to the main story. It was just a tad frustrating since  I could only understand some of it myself since my parents speak Urdu (which is similar to Hindi).

All in all, the book made my laugh, sad, giggle from girlish embarrassment, and made me feel my own heartbreak for the characters as they went through their journey of danger and awkwardness at love. Though not exactly tear-jerking, it does leave the reader an intense feeling of wanting more after just one volume. I can NOT wait for the next book, since I only read this book within 2 1/2 days! I give this book 4 1/2 stars!

Homework and Japan update

Why do teachers have to give homework during Spring Break?! There should be a rule against it, in my opinion. :D So far I have 3 art assignment (because I have 2 art classes) and one government assignment which looks confusing only because I don't understand some terms (I'll look those up later.) Since, once again my family doesn't have plans for a vacation, I am trying to get some spring cleaning done, my bedroom and living room are a mess!

I am also trying to make my banner for my Etsy store this week, and hopefully get my store up and running soon. I already have three items I want to sell, YAY! One was an old design from my sketches, the other two are fairly new ideas both for bracelets. I'm also trying to find patterns for a rucksack, I think it would be very fun to make one. I also have a recent Halloween costume idea (a bunny hood dress) that i didn't go through with because I didn't have cash. I think I'll go through with it now, and may be give one to my friend because she loved it at first glance and her birthday is soon. ^_^

On a different subject, Happy (late) White Day everyone! Novita, from a verypurpleperson.com, gives insight to the forth day after the earthquake on a recent update from her blog. She also states that she will be part of a raffle donation project in which the proceeds will go to Japan, and the winner receives a gift. For more info go to: http://jojoebi.blogspot.com/

It's SPRING BREAK!!

Oh, I have waited for this break for so long! I was starting to nod off in class and become lazy(though I kept my grades up, yay!), I really needed this break to recharge my mental batteries by catching up on my sleep. :D

On a different note, I donated $10 to the Red Cross today for Japan. I really am truly worried about the people over there, because I <3 Japan and their culture. They are very exotic to me and one day I wish to tour there. When I first heard about the earthquake in Japan I was doing laundry, gloating to my mother that I only have a month before I turn 20, when it came on Fox news. Hearing what was going on made me swallow a huge humility pill. I immediately thought of Novita, this girl's blog I follow online who has a family there. Luckily she and her family are safe after reading her recent post. You can find her at verypurpleperson.com

Also, I have pictures of my college's flower patch! They do this every year, but none of the plants in are garden have bloomed yet, just the tulips and a few tree flowers by our river.

Really unexpected

First off I would like to apologize for not having blogged in almost forever. I had lost the password to this account, and only found it while cleaning my room on an index card, (-,-)'... I promise I will try to keep up with this blog though it is still really new to me. Also, with recent tests coming up, my next post should be around spring break.

On to recent news:
I have been saying for almost a year now that I would open my own shop on Esty, just because some family and friends were bugging me about selling the stuff I like to make. I thought nothing of it until recently, when more friends came up to me and complimented the stuff I had made and wore to school. I really had no confidence in the idea of making a store, I'll be honest. The idea to me was daunting, "I'm to shy, how do I do this? Will this work?" I spoke to some friends about my worries on this, and they all replied, "why worry before you try?"
So I am taking their word for it. I am opening my own Etsy shop when my college classes end in May, wish me luck!
Currently, I am having a struggle with a store name, looks like the ones I want are already taken..I hope to have a name by my birthday (happy 20th to me!) in April, and at least 12 items to sell before I open shop this summer... Luckily I have a few friends helping me with the name.
Thanks guys, I love ya'll! <3
